My Favourite Healthy Blueberry Pancake Stack Recipe

These pancakes have always been a breakfast favourite of mine and what better day to share with you the recipe other than Pancake Day!? If you're wanting to know how I make a healthy and tasty alternative then continue reading below ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿฝ

 What You'll Need
1 Egg ๐Ÿณ
1 Ripe Banana ๐ŸŒ
3 Large Tablespoons of Oats
1 Handful of Blueberries (Fresh or Frozen)
1/2 Teaspoon of Cinnamon (Optional)

 Method
1) Crack the egg, break up the banana and add the oats into the blender! If you want to add in some cinnamon to jazz it up a bit than half a teaspoon will do the trick

2) Wizz up the ingredients until your left with a thick batter. You want this mixture to be a lot thicker than any normal pancake batter as it will cook better once in the pan!

3) When the consistency is gloopy and thick, pour in a tablespoon amount into a hot frying - I use a teaspoon of coconut oil so the pancakes don't stick

4) Once batter has been poured scatter a few blueberries before flipping

5) When bubbles occur around the edge of the pancake, flip it over to reveal a golden brown colour on one side

6) Repeat these steps until you have no pancake batter left!

I did add a few blackberries this time, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries all work well :)

I normally add some fresh fruit and either eat them with natural yoghurt and agave honey or just maple syrup. Hope you've enjoyed this recipe for a healthy alternative to pancakes! - Happy Pancake Day ๐Ÿ’–

REVIEW - Soap & Glory's Body Scrubs

Its Spring and that means its time to freshen up, get rid of the old and welcome in the new! What better way to start than on your skin, lets wash away the winter blues and prepare for a little bit of sunshine (hopefully)! In this post I'll be reviewing 2 of Soap & Glory's body scrubs - Scrub 'Em and Leave 'Em and Sugar Crush. I was so happy to receive these products as I'm always exfoliating my skin as being addicted to fake tan my skin does have that horrible scaley look sometimes which is just YUCK. Carry on reading below to hear my thoughts on these yummy scrubs. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘‡

Soap and Glory's - Scrub 'Em and Leave 'Em

This scrub really is delightful. First of all, the packaging and the colour of the scrub are really cute, and the scent is to match! This scrub is scented with Mist You Madly, this scent was a personal favourite of mine when I received a selection of Soap & Glory body sprays! Mist You Madly is scented with Blackcurrant, Magnolia and Vanilla so the smell is clean and fresh - its basically a perfume in scrub form so your body will be smelling amaaaazing after using this. The scrub its self does exactly what it says on the lid, its the perfect body buffer. Scoop out a handful rub it all over your body and you'll be left feeling smooth and smelling fresh!

Soap & Glory's Sugar Crush

As you can see from the pictures I literally could not wait to use this product, I jumped in the shower with it as soon as it arrived. This body scrub has been a personal fav of mine for years, the smell and the end result is unbeatable in my opinion. Like I said I am an avid user of fake tan (I tan atleast twice a week) and unfortunately my skin does get flakey and in need of a good ol'scrub - Sugar Crush is great for this as when using it with Soap & Glory's exfoliating gloves it really does polish your skin and get rid of all that nasty dead skin. The smell is AMAZING - its so fresh and fruity, and really refreshing to use in the morning as a wake up call! The ingredients include brown sugar, sweet lime and almond oil - which reminds me of them homemade scrubs you can make yourself, so it just feels nice and natural on your skin.

Overview
Both scrubs really are amazing and for the price of £8 a tub, they last you a while as a handful when used with exfoliating gloves does the trick when wanting to remove dead skin. Personally I would use Sugar Crush when wanting remove that unwanted patchy fake tan look and would use Scrub 'Em and Leave 'Em on more of a daily basis just to buff up my body and give me smooth baby like skin.

REVIEW - Soap & Glory's Kick-Ass Range - How I apply colour correction makeup

Ok so I'm super excited to share with you all the new products I have received from Soap & Glory this week! I've been extremely lucky to be sent their Kick Ass make-up range, which includes: Kick Ass Concealer - 3 piece camouflage kit, Kick Ass Pressed Powder, Kick Ass Blur & Brighten and the set of Soap & Glory's very own colour correcting concealer sticks! In this post I'll be showing you how I use these colour correcting sticks and my opinions of the Kick Ass range, keep reading below ๐Ÿ‘‡

First off, I have never owned or bought any sort of colour correcting make-up before so when I received these I was really excited to try them but also a little bit clueless. The thought of putting those mysterious green and pink colours onto my skin is a little bit intimidating. However! After using Soap & Glory's colour correcting sticks I really am impressed with the finished look.

So, there are 4 sticks in total and they all work together to make your skin look absolutely flawless. Before even using the products the packaging really stood out for me, although quite simplistic I think Soap & Glory still have achieved that cute look and the products all look very unified which I loveeeee. I also like how you can apply the product straight to your skin so no need to mess around with make-up brushes.

Here's a breakdown of each product and how I use them:

KICK ASS™ ALL IS CALM CONCEALER

The 'All Is Calm Concealer' is a green stick that aims to camouflage redness of the skin with its microsphere anti-blemish technology. The product itself is really creamy and smooth when applied to the face, it blends really well! Personally I don't find that my skin has much redness so I just used this product underneath and around my nose: see pictures below!

KICK ASS™ JUST BRIGHT CONCEALER

Soap & Glory have created a product to combat tired looking skin- YAY! This purple creamy stick "deploys tourmaline actives to reflect light and give your skin a brighter, more radiant appearance." When first using this product I wasn't too sure where exactly to use it as the purple colour can be pretty off-putting at first. However, when applied under the eyes it did give them that little pick me up that they needed!

KICK ASS™ FAKE AWAKE™

This product is fab for correcting and hiding dark circles and its also one of my favourite products out of the 4 as to me I see a significant difference after using it. So, I applied this product underneath my eyes to conceal some darkness; again like the other sticks this one is also really creamy (LOVE) so its really easy to blend into the skin and leaves it feeling fresh and moisturised.

Top left - No makeup. Top right - Where I applied. Bottom left- Concealers blended. Bottom right - Foundation and concealer applied

KICK ASS™ SUPER-BLUR ERASER

I use this product as a primer before I apply my foundation and I actually really like it. I always moisturise my face before I apply any sort of make-up and after using this product on top I found it leaving my skin really smooth and flawless. I'm no make-up guru but I find that this product really does help smooth over your pores so it really is perfect when wanting to achieve that flawless finish.

(1) So after applying the colour correctors and blemish erasers I then apply my foundation; I'm currently using L'oreal True Match foundation and I personally love it as you can build up the amount coverage you want.

(2) I then use Soap & Glory's KICK ASS BLUR & BRIGHTEN - which is a concealer stick that has such a nice creamy texture which again makes it so easy to blend into the skin! I also love how this product is a crayon so can easily be applied without the use of a concealer brush.

(3) To set and lock in my foundation and concealer I use Soap & Glory's Kick Ass Pressed Powder - LOVE!! I've been meaning to buy a translucent powder for a while so when this product arrived I was really excited to see if this one would work for me (it does!) Its weightless and totally translucent so immediately perfects your face. The powder itself its really soft and smooth so doesn't give that cakey look.

*DEALS*
The brushes that I use are from Vanity Planet and are amazing value for money- you get 15 super soft brushes for £24.00 -  I'll link them here. They are on offer for £24.00 with an original price of £81.00 so, go go go!

My Favs
Theres a lot of info in this post so heres a shortlist of my favourite products from Soap & Glory's Kick Ass range.

My make up stayed in place all day with this product and I love how weightless it is.

๐Ÿ’–Kick Ass Blur & Brighten๐Ÿ’–

Think Pink!

With Valentines Day just around the corner, I thought it would be a good idea to show you some of my new favourite beauty bits. To stick with the Galentines theme, of course all items are pink! In my eyes most of these items fit perfectly for this day of love but also are very pretty and personal favourites in general.

Lush always amaze me with pretty Valentine's Day collections and The Kiss lip scrub really does fit the bill. As someone who is obsessed with having soft lips I regularly use and purchase lip scrubs, but The Kiss is a deliciously sweet, perfectly pink lip scrub, containing tiny cute edible red hearts. TIP I'm obsessed with the 'big lip' look and use a lip scrub before I apply my lip liner and lipstick and really do see a difference in my lip size!

I was dying to get my hands on "Too Faced" Sweet Peach palette and was lucky enough to receive both eyeshadow and glow palette for my birthday. Both palettes smell amazingggg literally smell of sweet peaches (ironic) but seriously smell good enough to eat!

I don't know if it was just me but it was only a few weeks ago I realised MAC was selling what they call, "Shadescents". Basically, the concept behind it all is: they took six of their most popular lipstick shades from nudes to darks and then created these fragrances to reflect the 'personality' of every colour! Candy yum-yum is basically like Barbie in a bottle, with a sweet fruity punch scent.

Of course Soap & Glory's Sexy Mother Pucker lip gloss is in with my favs, its really is my go to lip gloss as not only does it give me an extra plump but its super soft and moisturising.

My favourite hairbrushes have always been a Tangle Teezer and when I saw this one in Topshop with a handle I had to get it. If you haven't tried a Tangle Teezer before they really do transform your hair. My hairs naturally straight but when using this brush it really is painless and gives my hair a nice natural shine.

Hopefully these bits have inspired you for some well deserved Galentines treats. Whether you want to treat you bestie or feel like spoiling yourself, I hope it's shared a little bit of love! Happy Galentines ๐Ÿ’˜

REVIEW - The Righteous Butter Diamond Edition

Since 2006 Soap & Glory have been all about making girls feel fabulous. Their all pink products are set out to give you girls the best bang for your beauty budget! I love the fun girly packaging and the quality of the products themselves, and The Righteous Butter is no exception.

Soap & Glory released this moisturiser to combat everybody's hate: dry skin. This was their second product release and still remains as one of their most Kick-Ass products. To make this product even better Soap & Glory have released a 'Diamond Edition'  which just makes it that little more glam. So what makes this moisturiser stand out from the crowd? Carry on reading below.

The Scent
The Righteous Butter is more like a sweet smelling perfume that you rub into your skin! The smell is amazing. It's not a subtle smelling body butter like others on the market, but thats what I like about it; because of its sweetly strong scent it actually makes an impact and lasts for hours.

The Texture & Application
When I first opened the lid of the pot, the cream looked so satisfyingly perfect. The texture is one of my favourite things about this product. It being thick and firm not only helps glide onto your skin but also its firm texture allows you to have more control over the quantity you want to apply. The application is great as its silky texture just glides onto skin and melts onto your body. What I really love about the product is it doesn't have that greasy heavy feeling other body butters I have used in the past have. The Righteous Butter really does sink into your skin leaving it feeling soft but not heavy and sticky.

The Cost
The Righteous Butter is priced at £10 - which in my opinion is a fair price for a good quality body butter. The smell and the texture also make you feel like you're using a 'luxury' product... for only a tenner! The pot holds 300ml and you will definitely get your moneys worth as this product really does go along way, a small amount does wonders.

The Diamond Edition
So what makes 'The Diamond Edition' so speical? The butter has the same amazing smell and texture as you would expect from the original Righteous Butter. However, 'The Diamond Edition' really does have that extra sparkle (literally) - it has shimmer in it! This is body butter is perfect to lather on your skin before a night out, highlighting your legs and arms to really make you sparkle!

Gals Night

Valentines Day is coming up fast and instead of you single girls getting emosh that you don't have that special someone, why not just embrace it! Just because Valentines Day is 'all about love' doesn't mean you have to have a bae to share it with; why not get all your girlfriends together and celebrate how amazing your friendships really are. You definitely don't need a Valentine to have fun on the 14th on February this year, so I thought I'd put together a few ideas for you all that are more GALentines instead of Valentines!

THE PERFECT GALS NIGHT IN

Obviously going out is still an option on Valentines Day but I thought why not share a few ideas of mine on what makes the perfect night in with your gals. Me and my girl squad are always up for having a good old fashioned sleepover: takeaway, gossip and of course some chick flicks! There's no better way than a sleepover to have a good laugh and catch up with your best friends!

Food
Ordering in is such an easy option and what better way is there to celebrate GALentines than over a big cheesy pizza with your girlfriends?

Movie Night
I love a cringey chick flick or a classic love story that you can sit and cry over (sad I know) Here's a few of my favs:

John Tucker Must Die
The Notebook
Clueless

Pamper
To achieve the 'Ultimate Girls Night In' why not grab some beauty products and make yourself feel all girly and glam. Facemasks are always a winner, but why not try something new: Soap and Glory's Pamper Party Packs! Universities around the country are lucky enough to have, "on the ground Galmbassadors" and these people will deliver you and your girl squads these cute party packs - they include free make-up, beauty products and a cocktail set!
Heres a pic of what you can expect to receive:

If you're a Bournemouth University student and are interested in grabbing one of these packs for your GALentines night in, message your on the ground Glambassador - Lana Byrnes and tell her why you and your girls are so Kick-Ass.

Girls loving their freebies!

Please comment/like & share so everyone can have the best GALentines! ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–
